Life is about change. As many of you know, there are so many people that find themselves in situations they never imagined. Blanketing DC was established to offer warmth to people in the DC-area that have found themselves in a period of transition.
Blanketing DC is a grassroots effort, running now for eight years thanks to contributions from family, friends, colleagues, and many others!.
In 2015 we received wonderful donations from individual contributors, local businesses collecting as part of their volunteer program, and a young adult as part of his Eagle Scout project. Blanketing DC selected charities that support a variety of initiatives including the resettlement of refugees, housing for homeless families, collection of essential clothing and gear for babies born into disadvantaged families, and other community support for individuals (and animals) requiring assistance.
